Artist Bio
Gabriella Shira’s art is a multidisciplinary exploration of spiritual transformation inspired by the Tanya, a foundational work of Jewish mysticism. Her practice blends performance, wearable sculpture, video, and community ritual to embody the soul’s inner struggle between the animal and divine impulses.
Through immersive installations and participatory projects like Temple of Sky, Gabriella invites others to join in acts of Teshuva—returning and repairing the fractured self. Her work uses sacred text, movement, and light as vessels for the Shekhinah, the feminine Divine Presence, transforming pain and exile into healing and hope.
Rooted in Kabbalistic teachings and personal devotion, Gabriella’s art serves as a bridge between ancient spiritual truths and contemporary expression, creating spaces where the soul’s journey toward wholeness is both seen and felt.
